Thousands of APGA members in Isialangwa North have dumped the party for the ruling PDP.

Declaring their intention to join PDP at Amapu-Amairi in Isialangwa North during a visit of the Governor to some key stakeholders in the council, one of the political stakeholders, Chief Tony Onwutebe said they have resolved to work with the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu who has extended olive branch to them.
Also speaking, Chief Uzo Ihuka said they are willing to work with the Governor and ensure he is re-elected in 2019.
Responding, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu said he visited them to appeal with them, his brethren, in Isialangwa North to join hands with him to develop Abia. He said with their support now, he is more poised to serve the State, assuring that he would ensure provision of more democracy dividends.
