The President, Abia State National Association of North America (ASNANA), Chief Chibuzor Ngwakwe has extolled the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration for her effort in keeping Abia State clean.
The ASNANA boss made the commendation in a post he made on Abia Online Members Executive WhatsApp Group as a response to the news that ‘Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) has launched a new house-to-house waste collection program in Umuahia as part of its efforts to further improve sanitation within the capital city.’
Ngwakwe who noted that the initiative was long over due, expressed the hope that keeping Umuahia and Aba clear of trash and debris were things that could be accomplished.
Said he: “The minds and caliber of our leadership are able with the available technologies to achieve this and I hope that they will develop the determination to do it.”
He observed “there has to be a broader strategic plan to sustain it and Abia State National Association of North American, if given the opportunity will be glad to be part of it.”
Chief Ngwakwe thanked the Governor for what he described as ‘responding to this environmental crisis in our state.’
