Ikpeazu, who made the commendation in television interview monitored by ABIA ONLINE, acknowledged that such donations would serve as additional to the efforts of Government in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Notable among individuals mentioned is the President and Founder, Each One Aid One Foundation, Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor, who, through his Foundation donated medical supplies, such as cartons of hand gloves, cartons of nose masks hand sanitizers, to all the three isolation centres in the State and all the 772 primary health centers across the 17 LGAs in the State.

The Foundation donated the items to be used by the Health Care Workers who are at the frontline in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

It did not end at that as the Foundation took proactive measures to put hunger in check having the understanding that with this period comes looming hunger. It did that with the distribution of relief items and food supplies to the Abia State Primary Health Care Development Agency for all 722 Primary Health Care Centres in the State, Federal Medical Centre (Isolation Centre 1), Abia State University Teaching Hospital (Isolation Centre 2), Amachara General Hospital (isolation centre 3) as well as Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A.

Items supplied included Bags of rice, cartons of tomato paste, Bags of salt, packs of Vitamin C, More hand sanizers, nose masks, hand gloves, with posters on COVID-19 awareness.

The Foundation continued with its donations with the distribution of water dispensing buckets for ease of procedure in proper hand washing as a key component in the fight against COVID-19.

This time around, the receiving Institutions were increased to include Abia State Primary Health Care Development Agency for Health Centres across the State, Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, Amachara General Hospital, the Nigeria Police, Aba Area Command, World Bank Police Station, Osisioma Police Station, Osisioma L.G.A, Army Barracks, Ngwa High School, Department of State Security Service (DSS) Osisioma, the Nigerian Civil Defence, Osisioma and Federal Road Safety Corp, Aba Zone.

Known for charity and philanthropy, Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor’s Each One Aid One Foundation has been in the business of philanthropy for since its formation many years ago.

Only recently, the Foundation embarked on a Medical Outreach across the nine Local Government Councils within Aba zone where it met the health needs of thousands of people as well as distributed food items such as rice, tomato paste, onions and such other things as clothing materials.

The Engr Nwafor Foundation, which is not only self-sponsored, but also Non–Governmental and Non-profit organization as recently as the first quarter of the year 2020, paid the JAMB registration fees for over one thousand, give hundred indigents candidates across the 17 Local Government Councils in Abia State.

Testimonies abound of how many people Engr Nwafor has affected positively through the selfless service of Each One Aid One Foundation. Such gestures included Miss Maria Faustina Thrones Emma Ole, daughter of Mr. Emma Ole, who received the assistance of Each One Aid One Foundation for a spinal cord operation after a she was knocked down by a car on their way to church, March last year.

We cannot capture all the Foundation has done in one sweep but can only accept the commendation that comes from no less a person than the peopl-centric Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.

Finally, the commendation, we understand can only serve as a motivation for more, to the man himself, Engr Sir Enyinnaya Nwafor, whose watchword has always been meeting the need of the next person and whose second name is charity.
