FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO ENCOURAGE MANUFACTURERS OF THE MADE-IN-ABA PRODUCTS, PROVIDE THEM WITH EQUIPMENT – Osinbajo.

Acting President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo(SAN) has visited Aba, the commercial hub centre of Nigeria and launched the maiden edition of the Nationwide Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).
Speaking at Aba Sports club golf course, venue of the event, the Acting President promised that the Federal government will encourage manufacturers of the Made-in -Aba products and provide them with equipment needed for their business so that they would become major competitors world-over.
Prof. Osinbajo expressed satisfaction at the quality of products made in Aba and said Nigeria should embrace locally made products if the country is to come out of the economic hardship. He appreciated the efforts of the artisans in promoting Nigeria-made products, urging them not to relent in their efforts to promote locally made products.
In his address, Abia Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu underscored the can-do and resilient spirit of the Aba man, stressing that, it is the resilient and hardworking spirit of the Aba-based artisans that must have informed the Federal government decision of selecting Aba as pilot city for the MSME-Clinic.
Dr. Ikpeazu maintained that if Aba manufacturers receives more encouragement, its glory as the commercial nerve centre of the nation would be restored. He called for continuos support from all and sundry as well as charged Abians to take NAFDAC, Standard Organisation of Nigeria, security agencies and other relevant organisations as partnersin the part of making Abia great.
