Aba South Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa has thanked Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for coming to the aid of the victims of the ‘Nkwo Ngwa’ Market fire incident in Aba South Local Government Area.

The Local Government Chairman showed the appreciation when he led a delegation of his people and the traders to the Governor’s lodge in Aba. He commended the Governor’s quick response to their plight, saying that such a quick response is highly commendable. The Chairman said “Dr. Victor Ikpeazu is a big blessing to Abia State and has to be supported for a second term; we must ensure he’s re-elected with other PDP candidates in Aba come 2019! PDP all the way”.
He equally thanked the PDP candidate for the Aba North and South federal constituency in the forthcoming elections, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike who he said has contributed a lot to support the victims since the incident. Also appreciated was the Honourable member, representing Aba South in the State House Assembly, Hon. Clinton Ebere, who they said has done noble in supporting the traders.

Responding, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu identified with their plights and said it was not easy to recover from such an incident, describing fire outbreak as a great disaster that needs to be curbed. He assured that his government would do everything necessary to assist them to ensure their businesses are established again.
It could be recalled that fire engulfed the ‘Nkwo Ngwa’ Market, Aba some days ago and destroyed goods and property.
