One of the characteristic style and hallmark of a good leader cum leadership is creating a harmonious rapport and relationship with other tiers of government and even government officials from the other side of the political fence in a bid to engender growth and development in his domain. This have been the narrative of God’s Own state under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, as laid bare by his political mien and posture of extending hands of friendship, collaboration and partnership to the government at the centre and other development partners not minding the political canopy, but intended to better the lots of Abia and her citizens.
Against this backdrop is the visit of the Honorable Minister for Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola to Abia state. Mr. Fashola’s visit to Abia is highly welcomed, as it will surely move the ongoing caterpillar revolution initiated by our visionary and indefatigable Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to the next radar. It will afford our highly esteemed and revered visitor the ample opportunity to access the interventions of the State Government on dilapidated federal roads in the state, and thus draw the attention of the Federal Government to bringing a lasting solution to Abia’s impassable federal roads.
Secondly, Aba been an industrial and commercial beehive of Nigeria, the SME capital of Nigeria is having unmitigated setbacks occasioned by erratic power supply, unarguably, it is a national challenge but reputable industrial hubs such as Aba should be given a special consideration in other to promote and thus serving our local industries from extinction.
We are confident that going by Mr Fashola’s pedigree and antecedents, he will deliver to the cheering and admiration of Abians and Nigerians in general.
