OVER 200 TRADERS IN AHIA OHURU, CEMETERY MARKETS RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION

Over two hundred petty traders in both Ahia Ohuru and Cemetery Markets in Aba received their own cash gifts and umbrellas from the Each One Aid One Foundation team.

The exercise was a continuation of the Foundation’s ‘Business Support for Petty Traders’ Project, aimed at supporting about 2000 petty traders across 26 different Markets in Abia State.

The Programme Coordinator Prince A. A. Abu, while addressing the traders, said the Foundation has the mandate of the Chairman, Engr. Nwafor Enyinnaya to support traders who have no shade or shop but rather display their wares on table under the sun and in the rain, to enable them scale up their business.

Prince Abu told them that Engr. Nwafor was touched by their plights having lost their little capital in the event of the lockdown occasioned by Covid-19 pandemic noting that he wants to encourage them through the provision of umbrellas to protect them against the scorching sun and rain as well as cash gifts for those who need just a little cash to go sustain their trade.

He maintained that the exercise was in line with the Foundation’s mantra of bringing hope to the hopeless, disclosing that the Foundation would not only stop at the distribution but will also go for periodic monitoring and evaluation, where those that do better will be encouraged with more cash support to boost their business.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash gifts, which he said was not meant for frivolities but to be used as capital for their small businesses while they are to always hang the umbrellas over their heads.

In their separate responses, some of the beneficiaries said their joy knew no bounds as regards the gesture done them by the Each One Aid One Foundation.

Those of them who spoke with Abia Online expressed excitement that the umbrella would go along way to protect them against the scorching sun and from being drenched by rains.

They joyfully prayed God to bless the Foundation and grant the Chairman of the Foundation, Sir Nwafor all his heart desires.

ABIA ONLINE reports that the Each One Aid One Foundation team has already visited so many other Markets across Abia State with the distribution of cash gifts and umbrellas to the excitement and jubilation from the petty traders.
