Each One Aid One Foundation continued their Business Support Project with the distribution of cash gifts and umbrellas to petty traders in Ahia Eke Market and Ohokobe Market all in Umuahia.

Speaking to the beneficiaries, the Programme Coordinator, Smith Chukwuma John, said the gesture was aimed to support about 2000 petty traders across the state to enable them scale up their business.

According to him, the Chairman of Foundation, Engr. Nwafor Enyinnaya felt the COVID-19 lockdown adversely affected these sets of individuals many of whom have lost confidence of cash after the COVID-19 lockdown and decided to support them through the provision of cash gifts and umbrellas.

He said the exercise was in line with the Foundation’s mantra of bringing hope to the hopeless, noting that the Foundation after conducting an assessment of about 26 markets in Abia State and selected 2000 petty traders across the State for the support.

He disclosed that the Foundation would also go for periodic monitoring and evaluation, where those that do better with the support will be encouraged with more cash support to boost their business.

He enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash gifts, which he said was not meant for frivolities but to be used as capital for their small businesses.

In their separate responses, the beneficiaries said their joy knew no bounds as regards the gesture done them by the Each One Aid One Foundation.

They joyfully prayed God to bless the Foundation and grant the Chairman of the Foundation, Sir Enyinnaya Nwafor all his heart desires.
