Abia State Government says it’s attention has been drawn to reports of payment of application fees of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) for employment by the local government service commission of Abia State.
In a press release signed by the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, government stressed that the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, did not approve any such payment meant for processing of the application for employment or conduct of employment tests.
The press release directed that such payments be stopped immediately and all those who have paid should be refunded by the Local Government Service Commission.
