Currently, the media in the Abia State and even beyond are awash with endorsements for second term in office of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.
Various groups, communities and top political leaders have hosted the Governor, some held meetings while others used the opportunity of commissioning, inspection or flag off of projects by the Governor as well as press interviews to formally endorse Dr. Okezie Victorl Ikpeazu for second term in office.
The recent Ukwa/Ngwa declaration/endorsement has painted a bigger picture of the support Governor Ikpeazu has garnered via result oriented and all inclusive governance. The Ukwa/Ngwa people, in one voice, declared the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D, as their sole governorship candidate for 2019 election.
Also that, no other Ukwa/Ngwa indigene would present himself for governorship election or running mate to anybody in 2019, adding that any Ukwa/Ngwa indigene who does that would be excommunicated.
Critical observation has revealed that these men and women do not endorse the Governor for endorsement sake. Neither did they endorse him for sycophantic reasons. All that endorsed Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu pointed out visible reasons for the endorsements.
Indeed, the achievements of the Governor are like wrist watch, which needs no mirror to behold. The Governor has within these two years and few months of his administration proved beyond reasonable doubt that a ‘Daniel has come to judgment’.
It could be recalled that on the assumption of duties as the fourth democratically elected Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu outlined the ‘Five Pillars of Development’ of his administration and its enablers. So far, he has performed creditably in all the pillars and is more poised to sustain his good works for the Abia populace.
The wonders in road infrastructure in the three senatorial zones of the States, the agricultural revolution and the promotion of ‘Made in Aba’ are testimonies to the works of the Governor, which of course has started campaigning for him.
And so, one is not surprised of the numerous acorlades accompanying his administration’s giant strides as well as the continous endorsements by the good people of Abia State and residents.
More so, what is needed now is for all residents in Abia State to ensure they get their Permanent Voters’ Cards with which to vote Governor Ikpeazu again.
Reelecting Governor Ikpeazu would enable him to consolidate on the achievements already made. After all, reward for hardworking is more works.
