TRADITIONAL RULERS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN ABIA STATE – Governor Ikpeazu.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has said that he will make sure new comers and Nigerians appreciate the rich culture and caliber of Traditional Rulers in Abia State. He said that Traditional Rulers are highly regarded as their fatherly roles in the State cannot be overemphasized.
Governor Ikpeazu said this through his SSA on local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Austin Uchenna, at a meeting held at the conference room of the Chief of Staff, office of the Governor, when he met with Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers.
He said that the bio-data of Traditional Rulers, culture and festivals of their various communities, will act as a guide to new comers in Abia State. He said that a plan to send to embassies, bio-data of Abia State Traditional Rulers will help accord them those rights and privileges even at the point of traveling to other countries as such information will be handy on their various platforms.
According to him, the project is first of its kind in the entire South East . Uchenna appealed that all traditional rulers in their various local governments submit completed forms to the Local Government Chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers, for proper identification.
While thanking the Governor of Abia State for approving the project, he assured that the work will be appreciated by all.
On behalf of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence Eze Eberechi Dick, thanked Mr Uchenna for his initiative. He thanked him specially for bringing up such project that will achieve great things, even without traditional rulers contributing monetarily to the project. He pledged support of Ndi Eze Abia to the project and assured that they will see it become a reality. Eze Eberechi Dick thanked the Governor for the platform and also for his continuous support to Ndi Eze in Abia State.
