VICTOR BENJAMIN FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES EDUCATION MATERIALS TO PUPILS OF UMUOCHA

A US based Nigerian from Abia, Mr. Victor Benjamin said his NGO, Victor Benjamin Foundation, is instituting a scholarship fund that would be used to train students in science and technology related fields.

Mr. Benjamin made this known while distributing school bags and exercise books to the pupils of Umuocha Community School, Obingwa LGA of Abia State, disclosing that the aim of his Foundation is to empower the pupils to reach to the next level of their life’s target.

Describing Africa as a great Continent, the foundation president said as a Pan-African he wants to invest in the African project with the intention of giving back to the society of African Continent starting from Nigeria.

On his choice of Umuocha Community School as his starting point, Mr. Benjamin maintained that since charity begins at home, he aimed to begin any empowerment project from his own home town so as to set an example of given back to the society.

Receiving the items, the Head Teacher of the school, Deaconess Joy Chikwendu thanked Mr Victor Benjamin for remembering the pupils and the school.

Also speaking, a representative of the Local Government Education Secretary, Deaconess Ijeoma Nwadinma expressed happiness for the kind gesture and called on other well-meaning citizens to emulate the example of Mr Benjamin in giving back to the society.
