2019 : ARIARIA, ABA TRADERS REJECT OTTI, THREATEN TO EXPOSE AND SHAME HIM

“IKPEAZU HAS DONE A LOT FOR US “.

Former Abia Governorship candidate of All Progressives Peoples Aliance (APGA) Dr Alex Otti has been allegedly declared persona non grata at Ariaria international market, reliable sources have sensationally revealed to ABIA GAZETTE.
The no-entry order is coming ahead Otti’s subtle plot to infiltrate Africa’s largest market with canvassers who are promising what he would do if elected Governor (Otti is currently celebrated as the incumbent Abia Facebook Governor ! ).
‘Mr Otti has really incurred the wrath of Ariaria traders for daring to come again to make fake campaign promises. We still remember he promised to use his industry contacts and high wire connections to improve the lot of our people. He even said he would effortlessly secure some USD 100 billion grant to fix Aba. So,how come he has not done anything for us since 2015? Is it only when you become a Governor you will assist in developing your state? “.
The aggrieved trader was apparently referring to the roundly defeated APGA candidate’s bogus campaign promises when he was begging for votes. Otti had boasted he has all it takes to mobilize a whopping one hundred billion dollars from foreign donors to tackle infrastructure and help struggling businesses in Abia and Aba in particular. But Otti’s volte-face when the current administration got approval for an equivalent facility with unimaginable favourable terms betrayed his true motive.
Besides not ever doing anything for Abia like his billionaire colleagues in other states , Ariaria traders and indeed business men in Aba may have vowed to “stone’ and humiliate the out-of-favour former bank Chief who hobnobbed with former Governors, amid allegedly questionable financial liaisons, should he sneak into town to ask them to vote for him. Their reason being that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has been more than good to them, having begun to do what he (Otti) claimed he had capacity to do.
” In 2019,Ikpeazu will not be coming to tell us how he would fix Faulks Road and say bye bye to the perennial flooding menace that has defied every solution. Neither would he narrate how he would rehabilitate the cluster of inner roads that take us to Ariaria. That won’t be a campaign issue in 2019. You see why we wont need any Otti in 2019. We already acknowledge Governor Ikpeazu’s efforts in promoting Made in Aba products. So,what will Otti tell us again ? Is it the brave and lucky ambassadors the State sponsored to China that will listen to a man who is only speaking grammar. Governance is practical, not theory.Let him come to us and face a disgrace he would forever live with. As for us,it is OVI till 2023. E Go Go Again !!!”.
A Public Affairs Analyst, Mr Ike Maduekwe put it this frankly : “As the battle for the soul of Abia Gods Own State builds up,the choice of whom to vote for in 2019 appears less difficult : the electorates would choose between Facebook candidates who have done practically nothing for the state but bent at de -marketing and destabilizing it and a performing Governor who is gradually and steadily changing the face of the state. A patriotic zest and determination that has seen him build over sixty roads and much more at advanced stages of completion,in addition to giant strides he’s making in all sectors of governance.
And that is consensus opinion of political pundits”.
Efforts to speak with the Chairman of Ariaria Market Management Committee Mr Lucky Akubueze
proved abortive as he was out of reach.
Ikpeazu,a former university don was sworn in as fourth Abia Executive Governor on May 29,20!5. Adjudged one of the best performing Governors in Nigeria and the toast of the highly influential Nigeria media,a reputable national daily, the Vanguard Newspaper recently named him Governor of the Year at an elaborate ceremony at Eko Convention Centre (Eko Hotel & Suites),Lagos. The Authority newspaper and a journal of record,Verbatim have also proclaimed Dr Ikpeazu their Governor of the year, amid flood of national and international recognition awards anchored on the responsive and resourceful governance going strong in Abia.
This has perhaps justifiably fueled and ignited the clamour for his re-election in 2019.
