2019 presidency: Why Buhari doesn’t deserve Bauchi votes – APC chieftain, Darazo
An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Bauchi State, Nasiru Darazo has alleged that the ruling party has become a refuge for politicians having fraud cases with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve the votes of Bauchi people ahead of the general elections.
Speaking with reporters in Bauchi on Tuesday, the APC chieftain stated that politicians like Adamu Muazu, Isa Yuguda, Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa among others, who recently defected to the APC took the decision to escape the wrath of EFCC.
“It’s unfortunate APC is using EFCC to force politicians with alleged financial crimes to join the party and the defection of PDP bigwigs to APC in Bauchi recently is an indication,” he added.
Darazo warned that Nigerians may risk being deceived eventually if Buhari is voted into power in 2019 election despite the current challenges faced by Nigerians.
Darazo insisted that the defections of Muazu, Yuguda, Senator Gamawa were not enough to guarantee victory for the APC except INEC toes the line of the ruling party in their desperation for power
“In fact, none of the defectors come into APC with followers because they have lost political relevance from their respective domains even in their positions as former governors, deputy and senator,” he claimed.
The APC chieftain maintained that Buhari does not deserve a single vote in Bauchi during the 2019 election for aiding Governor Mohammed Abubakar to secure APC gubernatorial ticket.
He stated that Buhari lacks the charisma and credibility to govern Nigeria again for allegedly allowing a cabal to hijack his administration to the detriment of less privileged.
Darazo warned that any attempt to vote Buhari and Governor Abubakar would be a dis-service to national development.
