GOVERNOR IKPEAZU COMMENDS ABSU, RECONSTITUTES GOVERNING COUNCIL
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has commended the management of Abia State University, Uturu for exemplary leadership style which has taken the citadel of learning to an enviable height.
The Governor who was speaking while reconstituting a new Governing Council of Abia State University, Uturu headed by Senator Adolphus Wabara. He described Senator Wabara as one who knows the terrain and capable of maintaining the good image success already recorded by the management of the school.
The Governor charged the Governing Council to use its contacts to make ABSU students and products world leaders in the future. He lauded the school for remaining uninterrupted by strike action for three consecutive years as well as maintaining academic excellence.
Dr. Ikpeazu, expressed implicit confidence that Senator Wabara would lead the Governing Council well and congratulated him and other members of the council on their appointments.
In an acceptance speech, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the reconstituted Council, Senator Adolphus Wabara said they would ensure the school remains in the lead in the comity of Universities.
He appreciated the Governor for finding them fit to serve Abia State University, Uturu and the State in that capacity, promising not to disappoint him.
