HEALTH INSURANCE: GOVERNOR IKPEAZU INAUGURATES BOARD MEMBERS
The 13 man Board members of the Abia State Board of Health Insurance Agency has been inaugurated by the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu with a charge for the Board to live up to her mandate.
, adding that, the inauguration of the Board is in line with Federal Government policy towards making healthcare services available and accessible to all Abia people.
He called on the Board members to make Abia the focal State amongst the 36 States in terms of domesticating the Federal Government Health Policies and in driving initiatives that are unique in line with the best health practices.
Governor Ikpeazu, who stressed that the Board would give strong backing to the health insurance of the State, equally expressed confidence in the ability of the Board members to deliver optimally.
In a response on behalf of other Board members, the Board Chairman, Professor Mkpa Agu Mkpa thanked the Governor for appointing them and assured that they will not disappoint him and the State.
He said that having noted that healthcare is one of the cardinal areas of development of the present administration, they will put in their best to make Abia maintain the lead in healthcare delivery in the country
