Anambra Election: Pete Edochie’s son, Yul polls 145 votes, concedes defeat to Obiano
Nollywood actor and candidate of the Democratic Peoples Congress, DPC, Yul Edochie polled 145 votes in the just conducted governorship election in Anambra State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in its final result released Sunday night showed that the actor who is also the son Nollywood veteran, Pete Edochie came 19 out of 37 contenders that jostled for the governorship stool.
Meanwhile, Edochie has conceded defeat to the winner, Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
He posted his congratulatory message on his Instagram page.
“Congratulations to Governor Willie Obiano on his victory at the polls.
And to all my supporters, I thank you.
“Let us keep the spirit high and continue to work tirelessly and selflessly for the progress of our state and country.”
