LUCKY NWOGU FOUNDATION RECEIVES ANOTHER 2019 AWARD
Yesterday, during the world malaria day celebration, Comrade Lucky Nwogu was honored with a merit award: “Malaria Elimination Hero” for his giant stride achievements through his foundation towards helping exterminate malaria from our society.
In recognition of his efforts to give the rural health a face lift, a team of delegates from the ministry of health paid the Isiala Ngwa born Port Harcourt based business magnate a visit on Monday 22nd April, 2019 that culminated into a partnership which is intended to last for years, and nominated him for the state merit award.
It could be recalled that since 2014 till date Lucky Nwogu Foundation has embarked on free annual distribution of over 1,000 long lasting insecticide treated nets to rural homes in Isiala Ngwa North LGA.
This year Lucky Nwogu Foundation also saw the need to continue it’s effort to bring to a halt the malaria epidemic by partnering with the Abia State Ministry of Health (The Awarder) in providing cash assistance, 200 doses of ACT’s for adult & children, 100 pieces of RTD malaria kits for test and 100 long lasting insecticide treated Mosquito nets, for the 2019 world Malaria day celebration.
Receiving the relief materials on behalf of the ministry Mrs Anumudu Gold Uchechi the Isiala Ngwa North malaria focal person thanked the foundation for the enormous support.
The business mogul has also in his altruistic nature vowed to continue the partnership in order to sustain the progress already made that his people from Isiala Ngwa and Abia state at large may enjoy a life without the high rising malaria threats.
