ABIA GOVERNMENT DISTRIBUTES MORE PALLIATIVES TO LGAS
Abia State Government has, in continuation of efforts at distribution of palliatives to Abians, approved the distribution of the more items to the 17 Local Government Areas.
According to a statement Secretary to Government and Chairman of the Abia State COVID-19 Committee, Barrister Chris Ezem, Transition Committee Chairmen of the various Local Government Areas are directed to distribute the items across party lines to all the various Communities through the Traditional Rulers, Community Presidents General, Women Leaders and Youth Leaders.
The statement said each Local Government Area will receive the following items:
1. 400 cartons of Spaghetti
2. 150 cartons of Tin Tomatoes
3. 20 Gallons of Vegetable Oil
4. 900 cartons of Noddles
5. 55 crates of Malt drink
6. 200 Sachets of Sugar
7. 500 bags of Salt.
The statement also directed that the items must reach the various communities and distributed amongst the vulnerable groups and less privileged persons.
