GOVT BANS TRADING AT SITE OF ABA COLLAPSED BUILDING
Government has declared as illegal the trading going on at 84 Azikiwe road Aba, the site for the collapsed building that killed five people in September this year.
The Deputy General Manager,DGM ASEPA Aba Chief Rowland Nwakanma who announced the outlaw of the site for trading warned those trading on the collapsed building site to quit the area within 24 hours.
Chief Nwakanma regretted that Shylock traders have converted every space in Aba to market place while abandoning the stalls in the approved markets.
He disclosed that ASEPA taskforce will from Wednesday this week confiscate goods, arrest owners of the goods and prosecute them at the mobile sanitation court.
He used the opportunity to warn street traders in Aba to enter into the approved market or risk arrest and prosecution.
