A Senior Aide to the Governor of Abia State on New Media and Publicity, Mr. Ubani Newman Ubani has called on Abians especially those in diaspora who returned for the festive season to use their spare time to move around and take current pictures of the roads in Aba to enable them be up-to-date with performances of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on road constructions.
Mr. Ubani who made the call in a press release explained that with such pictures, they would no longer be deceived by a section of bloggers who go about sharing outdated and ancient pictures of the cities in Abia State, especially Aba with a view to discrediting the tireless efforts of the Governor in infrastructure development of the State.
“Over 30 roads have since been reconstructed in Aba alone using Rigid Cement Pavement Technology, including Eziukwu road, Owerri road, Ochefu road, Umuola road, Ebenma road, ENUC road, Ehere road, Ukaegbu road, Ovom road, Osusu Road, Mule road, MCC road, Chima Nwafor(Umuojima) road, CEMEK road, among many others,” Ubani said.
He added: “These roads where nothing but death traps for many years before Governor Ikpeazu’s intervention.
He said the Governor is currently on over 100 roads in Abia State at large, with other 62 roads actively undergoing constructions.
He advised those who are in the habit of continuously sharing of old pictures of Aba to desist from such wickedness but rather visit the sites of these roads to have first hand Information on the current state of the roads
“More so, construction activities have kick-started along Obohia, Ohanku and Ngwa Road axis. These newly commenced construction sites will witness intense concentration in the days ahead.”
The Governor’s Senior Aid and media Guru commended Dr. Ikpeazu for being at the forefront of massive infrastructure development of the State among other projects under his watch.
