The government of Abia State today organized a send off get-together in honour of the first batch of 30 Abia youths out of a hundred who shall be trained in automated shoemaking in China. The artisans who were randomly selected are expected to leave the shores of Abia State in a moment from today.

As a government that does not discriminate but pays attention to hard work, two of the beneficiaries hails from Ebony and Imo States respectively thereby showcasing vividly the indiscriminate standpoint of the state Government for equal opportunities for all residents of the state, the indigenes and the visitors alike.
The Governor also promised to send 70 more persons to China for same purpose of enlarging local content production in the state.
Upon their return, the government would procure the state of the art machines and other necessary wherewithal for Abia artisans to start producing in mass here.
The overall purpose is to revamp the super power status of Abia as it was known as Japan of Africa.
