ABIA HEALTH SECTOR REBIRTH: IKPEAZU’S COMMITMENT

Health sector is one critical area that can never be relegated to the back burner by any responsive government such as Abia’s. As been rightly said, a healthy nation is a wealthy nation. This underscores the indispensability and how germane it is for there to a functional health sector, as development and growth does not thrive in a vacuum. It is highly reliant on humans who shoulders and coordinates the engine. This makes the hospitals constructed in the three senatorial zones of Abia State by the Governor Ikpeazu administration worthy of commendation; situated in Arochukwu, Ikwuano, Obingwa and Ukwa local Government Councils of the state, and almost completed.
The hospitals, with ultra modern facilities and residential apartments for the Health workers, will be commissioned by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in a short time.
According to the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr. John Ahukannah, Gov Ikpeazu has lofty plans for the Health care sector in the State. He said according modern trends, health workers will be resident in the Hospital premises to enhance effectiveness and closer supervision.
Dr. Ahukannah is leveraging on many years of international expertise to drive home Governor Ikpeazu’s blueprint for the health sector.
The hardworking Commissioner said the ministry has entered into partnerships and synergies with the private sector to accelerate the attainment of the plans and visions of the Gov. Ikpeazu’s administration in this very important sector.
