The Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investment and N-Power Focal Person in Abia State, Mr. Chinenye Nwogu has called for immediate arrest of the APC factional governorship candidate, Uche Ogah for turning his campaign office to a torture centre, where innocent individuals are abducted and maltreated, and also for impersonating the presidency.

Mr. Nwogu made the call while addressing newsmen in Umuahia over a trending online video of an alleged fake election result in favour of PDP, where his name was also mentioned. He exonerated the Abia State government and himself from the purported video, describing the incident as a scam, blackmail and disheartening and called on security agencies in the State to investigate the issue and ensure the perpetrators are brought to book. He said the security men must invade Uche Ogah’s campaign office and ensure the over 20 armed men in the office are also arrested.

Narrating the true story of the event, Mr. Chinenye Nwogu informed that on Thursday last week, a bulk SMS was purportedly sent from the office of the Special Adviser to the President on N-POWER asking beneficiaries of the programme to come for a head count cum meeting at No. I Item street, Umuahia, the campaign office of the APC factional governorship candidate, Uche Ogah. When he received the message, he (Chinenye) called Abuja, who confirmed that no such meeting was convened. According to him, Gaius one of the beneficiaries of the N-power programme was said to have gone to the venue, No. 1 Item Street and few beneficiaries were there and he was manhandled and made to call the N-Power Ambassador Mr. Felix Obisike to the place and he (Felix Obisike) was lured and manhandled too and was forced at gun point to accept that a document (fake election result sheet) they smuggled into his(Felix’s) file was part of his document, saying that the essence was to indict him(Chinenye Nwogu) and the Governor and government of Abia State.

Nwogu reiterated that the sheet of paper found in Felix’s custody was pulled from one of the pocket suits of the abductors who forced him and made him make confessional statements. Mr. Chinenye Nwogu decried the situation where the abductors have become interrogators instead of Police or DSS, disclosing that he was the one that alerted the DSS who came and intervened. Mr. Nwogu vowed to take legal action after the DSS must have concluded her investigations.

Meanwhile, Mr. Felix Obisike is in the protective custody of the DSS where he is receiving medical attention.
