ABIA GOVERNMENT WARNS AGAINST INDISCRIMINATE LICENSING, SITTING OF BUSINESS ACTIVITIES AT HIGHLY FLAMMABLE OUTLETS
Abia State Government has expressed strong aversion to the indiscriminate licensing and sitting of business activities at highly flammable and dangerous outlets in the State, warning appropriate Licensing authorities to desist from issuance of operational license for business activities at such volatile areas.
The warning was contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem following the explosion which occurred recently at Royal Lounge of Cookies Fast Food behind Richpond Petrol Station by Brass/Okigwe Road Aba and its aftermath.
The release said defaulters to the Government directive would have to face the full weight of the Law and enjoined the general public and law enforcement agencies to note for compliance.
