The Commissioner for Health, Abia State, Dr. Jonathan Osuji has used occasion of the memorial thanksgiving service marking one year remembrance of the demise of his late wife, Golden Mother, Ezinne Queen Elizabeth Osuji, to institute a Foundation in her owner.
According the Osujis, the family will use the Foundation to provide free medical assistance to less privileged children and widows through payment of hospital bills other medical needs.
Speaking in the service, the Vicar in charge of Jehovah Jireh Anglican Church, Trans-Egbu, Owerri, Ven. Emmanuel Ahumibe, recalled that the late Golden Mother, Ezinne Queen Elizabeth Osuji was a devoted member of the church who past on to eternity on December 2019 and was laid to rest on January 2020.
Ven. Ahumibe, who described death as a transition to another life beyond this world, reminded everyone that death is a necessary end for all human .
The Vicar who thanked that the one year period of mourning was concluded in good health, urged the family to continue in their truth in God as that would be the only sure way to reunite with the dead on the day of resurrection.
He prayed for the continued repose of late queen elizabeth Osuji as well as the continued good health and strength of hope for the family of Osuji as they continue to live without their late mother and wife.
Dr. Joe Osuji used the occasion to sensitive the congregation on the reality of Covid-19 pandemic and urged them to observe all the approved protocol which he listed as maintaining of personal hygiene through constant washing of hands or use of hand sanitizer, wearing of facemask outside the homes and maintaining physical distancing at all times.
