Abia State Government has declared Friday, 18th December 2020, a public holiday owning to the forthcoming Local Government elections holding in the State.
The State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu said in a release that movement of persons and goods would be restricted within the state from midnight of Thursday, 17th December, 2020 with only staff of Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC), security agents, media practitioners and others on essential duties exempted.
