NGWA ROAD NEXT…..
Ngwa road will soon experience Ikpeazu’s caterpillar revolution
Permit me to inform the great people of Abia State, especially residents and visitors to Aba, that very soon Governor Ikpeazu’s caterpillars will attack Ngwa Road Aba and commence the reconstruction of that important road leading to Ahia ohuru (new market) Aba.

The delay in working on that road was to allow Setraco-Hartland to establish the new underground drainage pipe from PH road to waterside through Ngwa Road.
If we had commenced reconstruction of Ngwa Road without completing the new underground PH road drainage pipe, that is expected to pass through Ngwa Road, it would have made nonsense of the Ngwa Road project.
The same principle was applied at Osusu road Aba, where the government had to wait for the Faulks-Ifeobara drainage pipe to be completed before commencing Osusu road project. The brand new 5.6km Ifeobara-Faulks road drainage pipe is now expected to take storm water from Osusu road through Faulks to Waterside.
Portions of Osusu road, which is currently under Ikpeazu’s caterpillar attack, will likely be elevated to ease water flow and If we had done Osusu before now houses would practically have been submerged.
Osusu wouldn’t have survived without a good and sustainable drainage plan.
Abia State ministry of works, under the leadership of Rt Hon Eziuche Ubani, is ready and happy to commence work at Osusu road Aba and soon the new drains will be established, as the prefabricated slabs for gutters are ready for deployment, once excavation work is completed.
Governor Ikpeazu is building to last and he thinks through every project.
Give us a little time to deliver the new Ngwa Road Aba. Setraco has already been directed to start gutter-works along PH road from the Ngwa Road junction area so that the Ngwa Road drainage-way will quickly be established and work can go on side by side between PH road and Ngwa Road.
Meanwhile a contractor is on site to correct the observed issues with Orji Uzor bridge. The bridge is being strengthened to take more traffic connecting to Ogbor Hill through Emelogu.
Ovom road is ready for commissioning and our people are already using the road done by Governor Ikpeazu.
Invest in Aba and Abia today to avoid nmakwara. The silent performer is our Governor.
