The Government of Abia State is presently renovating over 300 primary schools across the State.
The State Government is also rebuilding
four schools as model secondary schools with Library, Laboratory, Principal and other staff quarters to enhance Teachers – Students relationship.

The new model schools are 4 in number and are spread across every zone in Abia State. One is at Abayi in Aba, another is at Osusu Amaukwa in Obingwa, then at Ohuhu in Umuahia and the last is at Collins Memorial School Ohafia.
These pilot projects are to be used as foundation projects and models for other schools to be established in the State.
