Abia: Women to Play More Active Roles in Politics (See how)

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL PDP STAKEHOLDERS

At its 88th NEC meeting session, they resolved and approved as follows:

1.Out of the 17 Ward Excos, 6 shall be women
2.6 out of th 18 Local Government Excos,shall be women
3. There shall be 13 women out of the 39 State Excos of the party
4.There shall be 4 women out of th 12 Zonal Excos of the party
5. There shall be 19 National Working Committee,NWC, members, and 6 MUST be women

The above shall become and form part of the 2020 Guidelines for all Congresses and National Convention, and must be strictly adhered to,pursuant to Section 6(7) of 2017 PDP Constitution, which provides that;
“In nomination for party offices, not less than 35 percent shall be reserved for women”.
