The remains of Late Mama Area Deaconess Rose Nwaekweke Sylvanus (1940-2019), mother of the President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Abia State Council, Mr. Smith Sylvanus have been laid to rest at her home town in Akanu Okpulor Autonomous Community, Obingwa LGA.
In a sermon, Rev Apst. P. I. C. Amalili of the Apostolic Christian Church Mission (ACCN), noted that the deceased, Mama Area Deaconess Rose Nwaekweke Sylvanus was a devour christian who served God faithfully under ACCN.
He maintained that she lived a fulfilled life going by numerous testimonies of a good life given by people that knew her and stressed the need for christians to follow the examplary life style of the late woman because no one knows the next person that would die.
The first son of the deceased, Deacon Augustine Sylvanus Nwachukwu, in a funeral oration described their late mother as both caring and hardworking. He recalled that their late mother through her dent of hard work made sure they were trainined as they lost their father at a very tender age.
In an interview, Mr. Smith Sylvanus, President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Abia State Council, said their late mother was a philanthropist of note who always put smiles on people’s faces especially the widows in the village.
Mr. Smith recalled that late Mama Nwaekweke loved her children so much to the extent that she constantly remained in contact on a daily basis to know the state of affairs of her children.
The Abia State NYCN concil President however said that his consolation is hinged on the fact that her mother died a christian and expressed the hope that he and other relatives would continue to embrace the good legacies left behind by their late mother.

Assistant Chairlady of Akanu Okpulor Autonomous Community as well as Elder Gideon Amala, said the deceased lived quiet life devoid of ranchour describing her examplary life style as scarce.
Elder Chijioke, who spoke on behalf ACCN church Ikorodu Lagos branch attested that Mama Rose contributed to the building of the Ikorodu Church and was among the first Deaconesses of the church in Ikorodu branch.
Dignitaries who attended the burial ceremony included: Member representating Osisioma Ngwa Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Solomon Adaelu, Chief Ncheta Okoro Omerekpe (Philanthropist), Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abia State , Barr. Uche Ihediwa, representatives of the President, NYCN among others.
