AGBAZUERE WARNS AGAINST ENCROACHMENT OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY
Abia State government has warned those who are in the habit of encroaching on Government properties to desist forthwith or have themselves to blame.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor and Chairman of the Six Man Committee inaugurated to carry out on the spot investigation of encroachments of government land in public schools by individuals and organizations, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere gave the warning when he led members of the Committee to a fact finding visit to Amakama Olokoro Community Primary School in Umuahia South LGA, where a new building is being constructed maintained that Government would no longer tolerate any form of encroachment of its property in any part of the State.
Dr. Agbazuere used the opportunity to invite one Prince Okezie Kennedy, son of the Traditional Ruler of the Community, Eze Daniel Okezie, the PTA Chairman of the School, SBMC Chairman and the President General of the Community to a crucial meeting with the Committee at the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Government House, Umuahia by 1pm on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020.
The Committee Chairman said it would make it a regular excercise to check on encroachment of Government lands in the State and called on all who have encroached on government lands to surrender such land to the State government.
On the entourage of the Chief of Staff were members Committee, including Commissioner for Lands, Alhaji Suleiman Ukandu, the Secretary of the Committee and the acting Chairman ASUBEB, Elder Josiah Anonaba among others.
Recall that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, yesterday inaugurated a Six Man Committee to do on the spot investigation of encroachment of government land in the public schools by individuals and organizations.
