Atiku reacts to Zamfara attack as bandits kill 17
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the fresh attach in Zamfara State which led to loss of many lives.
DAILY POST earlier reported that about 17 were killed on Saturday after bandits attacked Magami village in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page condemned the attack.
The former Vice President called for restoration of peace in the state, stating that they deserved to live in peace.
Atiku wrote: “The recent killings in Magami village in Faru District of Maradun LGA of Zamfara is one too many.
“ The people of Zamfara and indeed all peoples of Nigeria deserve to live in peace and safety.”
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari condemned the attack, describing it as ‘horrendous act of violence.’
Buhari said he had authorised an assessment trip to Zamfara and Sokoto States by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Baba Sadiq, on Christmas and Boxing days, to states raided by armed bandits, including Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Niger and Taraba
