Bayelsa election: INEC officials, materials yet to arrive PDP gov candidate community

Residents of Sampou Community have expressed concern that election is yet to commence in their neighbourhood almost two hours after polls opened.

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Douye Diri, hails from Sampou Community.

The PUNCH reports that as of 9.30 a.m. the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, were yet to arrive in any of the eight polling units of Sampou/ Kalama ward 6 where the governorship candidate is waiting to cast his vote.
