RENOWNED German Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke has promised would-be participants at his farewell five-day crusade to expect the manifestation of God’s power like they’ve never experienced before.
Bonnke, founder of Christ for all Nations (CfaN), said God is going to move in ways that will create ripple effects across the world.
He spoke in Lagos yesterday ahead of the programme scheduled for November 8 to 12 at Sparklight Estate, opposite OPIC Events Centre on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Bonnke said: “Exactly 50 years ago, I left Germany and arrived in Africa. I went from Cape Town to Cairo and preached the gospel with my musical team. When people ask me, ‘Do you regret anything?’ I tell them ‘No regrets’.
“I believe that we are going to see this week, here in Lagos, what we have never ever seen. The power of God is going to abound, the word of God is going to be preached, the Lord will answer prayers and do miracles, the Holy Spirit will follow and I believe in my mind that from this crusade there will be ripple effects across the whole world.”
On why he chose Nigeria for the crusade, the preacher explained that the country’s population means the power of God can reach many more people than elsewhere in Africa.
“I chose Nigeria because it is the most populous country in Africa. I can smell the harvest I have in Nigeria. Some of my best friends are Nigerians. I just love you all.”
Bonke enjoined genuine children of God to continue preaching the gospel and not be distracted by any evil or corruption around them.
“…We still have to obey the word of God to preach and leave judgment to God,” he said.
Chairman, Central Working Committee, Reinhard Bonnke’s Farewell Crusade 2017 Apostle Alexander Bamgbola said the crusade was designed to liberate the nation and its people from social vices, including corruption.
One of the highlights of the crusade, according to Bamgbola, will be a ‘Passing the burning torch’ conference for leaders and church-workers.
According to the organisers, over 10 million people across Africa are expected at the programme.
