Popular human rights activist and campaigner, Deji Adeyanju has made an interesting allegation.
Tweeting via his official twitter account on Friday, Adeyanju alleged that there are already plans in motion for a third term agenda.
He tweeted saying ”They are planning 3rd term agenda already. You heard it here first” to which he didn’t give any name or further details.
Mr. Deji Adeyanju has been a regular critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and the All Progressives Congress led federal government and as such this may not be coming as a surprise to many.
He is also a notable face and voice behind the recent #RevolutionNow clamour which is being spearheaded by Sahara Reporters publisher and African Action Congress presidential candidate in the February 23rd presidential election, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore is presently in the custody of the Department for State Security (DSS).
Adeyanju’s claim has however elicited sharp reactions from Nigerians on twitter.
One of them @olumide_tolu opined saying ”I said it when you have a majority of the Senate with a rubberstamp Senate president and a boyboy CJN the purpose was to propagate the 3rd term or president for life bill which will lead to the end of Nigeria if the bill were to be passed Nigeria is in turbulent times right now” while another user @okonyestanley10 said ”Third term? I don’t think it’s possible but last last Nigerians must have sense by force”
