Ukwa West, a Local Government Area in Abia State, with its headquarters in the town of Oke Ikpe is receiving the PDP campaign train for the Re-Election of the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D today.
With the estimated population pool of above 100,000 people, Ukwa West is one of the 9 LGAs that make up the Ukwa-Ngwa nation.
As the only crude oil producing local government area in Abia state, Ukwa West got her very first recognitions and consideration for youth empowerment and other community and social development by the Shell oil company under Governor Ikpeazu’s watch.
Its oil-producing communities include: Owaza, Uzuaku, Umuokwor, Umuahala and Umuorie, amongst others.
Today, the entire people of Ukwa West have come out “en mass” to make a statement – Governors Okezie Victor Ikpeazu till 2023.
