DR. IKPEAZU CHARGES PDP FLAG BEARERS TO PRIORITIZE PEOPLE’S WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT.
Dr. Ikpeazu charged Chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the coming local government elections to develop strategies aimed at developing their various local governments areas in the State.
The Governor made the statement yesterday at the event center, Umuahia, when he performed the ceremony of handing PDP flags to Candidates that came out successful at the recently concluded PDP primaries at various local government areas in the State.
Dr. Ikpeazu urged the candidates to represent the party by making strong commitments with the people at the grassroot. He said that development at the grassroot will create a big impact in the society. He asked them to make PDP and the Government proud by mobilizing for the election so that they can come out Victorious.
Earlier, The State PDP Chairman, Sir Johnson Onuigbo urged the candidates to be good representatives of the party. He charged them to deliver the party at all levels while also urging them to do those things that will always give PDP an edge over other parties in Abia State. He thanked the Governor for his leadership roles in Abia especially in delivering dividends of good governance to Abians.
It was a gathering of who is who in Abia State PDP. The event had in attendance the leader and Governor of Abia State Dr. Ikpeazu, Deputy Governor Rt hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, PDP house members led by the Speaker Bar Martins Azubuike, State Commissioners, Elderstatesmen, PDP Excos at both State and Local government levels, and many party big wigs too numerous to mention.
