END-OF-YEAR PARTY: GOVERNOR’S CPS COMMENDS PRESS MEN (See Photos)

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Chief Onyebuchi Ememanka has commended members of the Government House Press Corps for their tireless efforts in ensuring adequate coverage of the activities of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration.

Chief Ememanka made the commendation during the 2019 end – of – the – year party of the Government House Press Corps held at the Government House Press Centre, Umuahia. He encouraged the Press men to embrace hard-work, saying that there is dignity in labour.

The Chief Press Secretary said he cherishes the good relationship that has existed between him and the press within the last six months he was appointed as the CPS. He demanded the press men to go into the new year with the resolve to improve upon their performances and do better, assuring that he would always ensure that the welfare of his staff are prioritized.

Chief Onyebuchi Ememanka, who urged the staff to spend the Yuletide within their financial reach prayed for good health and prosperity for them and used the opportunity to wish them a happy Christmas and prosperous New year in advance.

Speaking also, the Head, Information Unit, Government House and Director of Information, Mr. Azubuike Jinanwa thanked the Chief Press Secretary for footing the bills of the end of the year party. He assured him of the commitment of the staff in publicising the activities of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and sustained support of the staff towards ensuring that the CPS succeeds in the office.

Earlier, the Chairman, Government House Press 2019 End – of – the -year party Organizing Committee, Comrade Divine Nwankwo said the annual ritual was an opportunity in which the Press men in Government House, Umuahia use to thank God for His protections all through the year as well as unwind with colleagues.

He thanked God Almighty for His benevolence towards the Press men and lauded the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Chief Onyebuchi Ememanka for his financial assistance and for building a good relationship with his staff. Comrade Nwankwo who appreciated his colleagues for working hard through out the year and the Committee members for their sacrifices to ensure the success of the event, wished them a happy Christmas and prosperous New year in advance.

The event which featured prayers, songs and dancing, attracted many friends and colleagues of Government House Press Corps.
