Though challenged in many fronts with regards to the paucity of funds to run the government, Abia State government has exhibited much prudence in the financial drive and management of the resources accruable and available to the State. The ICPC report which gave Abia State a clean slate on the disbursement of the Abia State share of the N14.1B of the bailout fund as carried out by the committee made up of the union and labour leaders to its main beneficiary devoid of the government’s interference is
a parameter to adjudge the financial management of AbIa State.
The government has also, with the disbursement of the 50% Paris club; N5.3B as it was augmented to the tune of over N500m totaling about N5.8B by the Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to meet the needs for which it was meant shown commitment to financial chariness.
