IKPEAZU DONATES THREE BRAND NEW BUSES TO TWO MARKET UNIONS IN UMUAHIA (See Photos)

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, this evening, at Government House Umuahia, made a donation of three brand new INNOSON buses to two market unions in Umuahia, on behalf of the state government.

The unions are for the Ubani Market and the Relief Market both in Umuahia.
Presenting the vehicles, Governor Ikpeazu stated that his government understands the key role that trade and commerce play in the economic development of our state and will therefore continue to encourage the growth of commerce in the state.
He said that the buses are meant to ease the movement of the traders to and from the market, and to assist the unions with their work of organizing the traders well, stating further that his administration plans to dualize the road leading to the Ubani Market.
He then directed his Principal Secretary to liaise with the Ministry of Trade and Investment to work out, within the next two months, a scheme that will provide soft and interest free loans to the traders to assist them grow their business.
He advised the unions to manage the vehicles with care.
The leaders of the market unions expressed their deepest appreciation to the Governor for the gifts and assured him of their continuous support to his administration.
Principal Secretary to the Governor, Engr. Emma Nwabuko, Commissioner for Petroleum, Barrister Chizuru Kanu and other senior aides to the Governor witnessed the short but very impressive event.
