In his continuous commitment to turn around the narrative of health care delivery in the State, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has recorded another milestone in health care.
This time around, the Project C. U. R. E., USA has donated medical equipment worth $500,000 to Abia State Government. The NGO, Project C.U.R.E., is the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the globe. It has some sequences it follows before donating the equipment.
First of all, the team must be attracted by a State’s efforts in fixing healthcare, from there, its team would be sent to carryout an assessment of the equipment needed.
The team first came here sometime last year, toured various hospitals across the State and assessed the various needs of the hospitals before going back to select and send only those needed medical equipment to the State. The team is popularly known for its standard as all the equipment sent have been confirmed to be of high standard.
Abia State government through the health friendly Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu spent about N11 million to get these materials to the State. It is clear that Governor Ikpeazu’s midas touch in Abia health sector attracted this among so many other health interventions that the State has benefited from.
It is only a Governor with genuine interest to serve his people could go this far, attracting interventions and other good things to his people.
By attracting the Project C. U. R. E. USA, who donated these medical equipment to Abia State Government, Governor Ikpeazu has once again placed his name on gold and in the hearts of Abia people.
Those hospitals earlier visited by the team would now carry those equipment to make their hospitals more effective and render more quality healthcare delivery to the people of the State. Even the newly reopened Aba General hospital would also get her own equipment.
What is left is for Abia people and residents to sustain their support to the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to enable him deliver the Abia of our collective dream.
