The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Rt. Hon. Eziuche Ubani, to ensure that all contractors working at various sites across the state are made to redouble their efforts at their respective sites in anticipation of the 2017 rainy season.
Governor Ikpeazu also wish to stress that lazy contractors will certainly be sanctioned.
The Governor further wish to commend the effort of the contractors working on the five cluster of roads off Ngwa Road Aba for ensuring the completion of the roads before the onset of rains.
He is however seeking the cooperation and understanding of Aba residents and urge them to bear with the government as they experience various discomforts due to the acceleration of various reconstruction works aimed at renewing the Enyimba city and SME capital of Nigeria.
