HOW DID ALEX OTTI MANAGE THE ABIA FAAC ACCOUNT FROM 2002-2015 AND BECAME FABULOUSLY RICH

Two days ago I made a very short post stating that Dr. Alex Otti managed the Abia FAAC account from 2002-2015 without much details but due to the reactions of many notable online personages I want to use this short but very explanatory post to shade more clarity on the issue.
The truth stands that Alex Otti cannot in good conscience accuse Abia State Government of mismanaging her resources, particularly, the Sen. T.A. Orji administration because he warehoused and assisted in carrying out what he accused that administration of doing.
Alex Otti was the Executive Director of First Bank when the then Managing Director, one Longe was about to retire. Because he was very close to the then present administration, the State Government wanted to assist him be appointed the MD/CEO, she (the State) decided to warehouse the State Government FAAC with First Bank. When Emeka Nwosu retired from Diamond Bank as the CEO/MD, Otti left First Bank and was appointed the MD/CEO of Diamond Bank.
To show solidarity to him and deepen his reputation as a man who has the support of his native Government, the State Government also moved the State’s FAAC account to Diamond Bank. So, it is not out of place for anybody to say Alex Otti managed Abia FAAC because he did.
As a foremost banker, it was his responsibility to report to the relevant Federal Government agencies through the CBN if he noticed any infraction in the financial management of the State Government. His refusal then validates the fact that he is an accessory after the fact “if” there was any infraction as he had repeatedly alleged and should therefore not be trusted with any leadership position and our money.
Alex Otti should however be grateful to Sen. T.A. Orji for helping to bolster his capability to supervise the management of a public sector account which has always remained the most valuable sought after asset by the banks.
The grouse Otti has with Sen. T.A. Orji was the latter’s insistence on Abia South producing the Governor of Abia State in 2015 and the choice of Gov. Ikpeazu. Nothing more, nothing less.
The question begging for answer is, could Dr. Otti have alluded to Sen. T.A. Orji as a corrupt Governor if Sen. T.A. Orji had made him his choice over and above Okezie Ikpeazu Ph.D? Let’s be honest to our conscience here.
It is common knowledge that the desperation to become the Governor of Abia State made Otti to deny his Aro heritage, the warm relationship he had with T.A. Orji and his forgetting the good favours extended to him by the T.A. Orji administration.
I challenge anybody to contradict this.
But what pains me most is that, with all his ventures and riches, Otti has no investment or social responsibility project in Abia State whereas his supposed mates, Elumelu and Jim Ovia have done a lot for their people and Nigerians.
Otti went to Ngwa High School but can’t boast of a single classroom block at that school or anywhere in Abia State.
Otti only come to Abia for burials and political meetings. He doesn’t know any of the roads done by Gov. Ikpeazu and he sees them only at Facebook where he resides.
Politics apart, my people, my fellow youths this man, Otti has not shown any sign that he wish Abia well.
