Ikpeazu calls on ACCIMA to complete Enyimba Hotel
Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has called on members of Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines And Agriculture (ACCIMA) to expedite the reconstruction of Enyimba Hotels Aba to give Aba a first class hotel that can host national and international events.
The Governor made the call during the investiture of RTN Andy Obasi as the 15th President of ACCIMA and inauguration of a new executive council held at Aba Sports Club.
In his goodwill message at the event, Governor Ikpeazu noted that Aba currently lacks quality hospitality facilities to host more than 2,000 visitors and appealed to ACCIMA to ensure that Enyimba Hotel which they bought from Abia State Government is completed on time.
He also called on ACCIMA to ensure that they build an international trade fair centre where made in Aba products will be exhibited and highlighted the efforts of his administration to promote Made In Aba brands within and outside the country.
In his address, the newly inaugurated President of ACCIMA, Mr Andy Obasi, applauded the Governor for his efforts in developing road infrastructure at Aba as well as promoting Made in Aba products and called for greater cooperation between members of the chamber and Abia State Government to improve trade and commerce which according to him is an area of comparative advantage for Aba and Abia State.
