The commissioning of the Abia State Poultry Clusters, Umuosu Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North LGA is currently ongoing.
The programme, built under the Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme (AADS) of the State Government through the instrumentality of Abia State Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is aimed training youths who would manage the poultry pens in the farm.
The State Government in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) is to train about 1000 youths from the 17 LGAs in the State in poultry farming, the first phase of which had trainned 225 youths who will today be formally handed various poultry pens to manage.
The Cluster houses sixty-nine poultry pens (42 of which houses 1000 capacity of birds while 27 houses 500 birds), as well as a erecting magnificent administration block.
