IKPEAZU: CRAFTING HIS NAME IN THE HEART OF ABIANS
Man is at his natural best in wishful declaration. Over the years, our rulers (ruiners if you like) at various levels have been rather kind in dishes out mouthwatering promises just to hoodwink us into parting with our votes. Soon after stealing our votes by whatever trick, after all the name of the game in our clime is politrick, our supposed leaders turn tigger ready to devour whoever that dares to remind them of their promises.
To steal the people blind, several hundreds of millions are expended in buying the press which compliment the state apparatus of propaganda in churning out half-truth and outright lies most times in very pedestrian and shameless manner. This has been the bane of successive governments in this country since independence though, this got acerbated since the inception of this democratic dispensation in 1999.
Here in Abia State, the Internet has been shattered severally over the last few days with pictures of the the emerging rebranded and reconstructed Faulks Rd, Aba. The magnitude of the environmental and infrastructural epidemic that Faulks Rd and Ifeobara Water Basin degenerated into under the eagle but carnivorous watch of previous governments in the state made every Tom and Dick give up hope that this economic hub of Abia could be reclaimed especially, in this season of nerve-wracking recession. To everyone who is conversant with the town of Aba and, it’s infrastructural structuring will tell you that Faulks Rd is Aba, and Aba is Faulks Rd because of its strategic positioning to the all important Ariaria Intl Market.
To make assurance double sure, after servive yesterday, Ezemuo took a physical and on the spot inspection and evaluation of what Ikpeazu is said to be doing in Faulks Rd. I started my inspection from Brass Junction to Ariaria and finally terminating it at much talked-about Ifeobara. For the benefit of the doubting Thomoses who obviously suffer from selective vision, I covered the inspection pictorially.
As can be seen from these pictures, will it not amount to sounding trite by stating the obvious if I declare here again for the umpteenth time that under GOV IKPEAZU ABIA IS IN SAFE HANDS? I leave you to take informed judgement.
