The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the immediate dissolution of the Waste Management Team for Aba North LGA for dereliction of duty.
A statement from the Office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Barr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, said a new team to manage waste collection along Aba Owerri Road would be reconstituted in the next 24 hours.

The statement added that the Governor has directed the Deputy General Manager, ASEPA, Aba Zone to immediately move men and equipment into Aba Owerri Road to ensure that the area is rid of refuse within the next few hours.
