Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate removal of Mazi Emmanuel Ukwu Obasi Kanu as Transition Committee Chairman, Arochukwu Local Government Area.
In a release endorsed by the Secretary to the Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, Mazi Kanu has been directed to immediately hand over property and affairs of the Council to the Deputy Transition Chairman of the Council.

The release equally adds that the Governor has graciously approved the recall of the suspended Transition Committee Chairmen of Aba North and South Local Government Areas, Chief Victor Ubani and Hon. Cherechi Nwogu respectively.
“These directives take immediate effect,” according to the release.
