New married couples have been told to make God the foundation of their marriage which is the only key to a successful and enjoyable marriage.
Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu who stated this at Agbor Court, Abiriba in Ohafia LGA during the traditional marriage between former Dr. Miss Lovina Obewu Onwuka, daugter of Chief Mrs. Nnenna Obewu Onwuka, fomer Commissioner for Transport and Director General, Women Mobilization and Dr Samuel Oyinkepereye, called on the new couple to love and trust each other and not allow a third party to meddle into their affairs.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, prayed God to bless Mr/ Mrs Larri with all the good things associated with marriage and congratulated the mother of the bride for bringing up her daughter to become a wonderful wife material.
While offering her motherly blessings to the couple, Chief Nnenna Obewu Onwuka thanked God for the grace given her to witness the marriage of her daughter as well as those that came to celebrate with them.
She appreciated the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and his Deputy Sir Ude Oko Chukwu for coming to rejoice with them.
Responding on behalf of his wife, Dr. Samuel Oyinkepereye Larri, thanked all that came to identify with them and promised to be a good husband and father to their children.
